Each submission must be a patient-specific prescription — VLS is a 503A compounder and cannot compound without a valid, signed Rx.

VLS Pharmacy processes patient-specific 503A compounded prescriptions only. Every first order must be a valid, signed prescription with complete patient and compound details. The ordering channel — fax, EMR, or phone — is your choice. Here is what each one requires.
What you need first
- A confirmed VLS prescriber accountVLS requires an account on file before processing orders. Do not submit your first Rx until you have received account confirmation from VLS — orders from unconfirmed prescribers are not processed.
- Complete patient demographics on every RxEvery submission must include the patient's full name, home address, phone number, date of birth, email address (for tracking notifications), and known drug allergies. Missing fields cause delays or rejections.
- Compound name, dosing instructions, and SIGSpecify the compound, strength, quantity, and instructions for use (SIG) clearly. For controlled compounds, DEA registration applies. In the EMR, search for one ingredient and select the correct compound — or write the name clearly in the pharmacy notes section.

- 04Confirm receipt and trackVLS notifies the patient and office when the prescription is ready. If you included the patient's email address, they receive tracking information. Follow up by email at info@vlspharmacy.com or phone if you do not receive confirmation within the expected compounding window.

The most common first-order failure is incomplete patient information — missing home address, DOB, or email. VLS requires all fields. Verify before sending.

VLS Pharmacy is located in New York. If your EMR is set to a different state, it may not find 'VLS Pharmacy' in the search. Set the state to New York explicitly before searching.
