VLS Pharmacy checkout process

How the VLS Pharmacy checkout process works — without an online checkout

VLS Pharmacy does not have an online checkout process. There is no prescriber portal, no cart, and no payment screen at submission time. A clinic arranges billing through the new account setup and business development before placing any orders; prescriptions are then submitted one at a time via fax to 855-491-0799, EMR, or phone. Cost is not visible on a per-Rx basis at submission — it is a quote negotiated during account setup. VLS Pharmacy processes the Rx, compounds, and invoices per your account terms.

This page clarifies what the VLS Pharmacy billing and submission process looks like without a digital checkout, what to confirm before your first Rx, and how Fizy Health shows per-vial cost and validates each line before an actual checkout screen.

The billing and submission steps

From account setup to Rx submission and invoicing

VLS Pharmacy does not publish a detailed billing or checkout guide. This describes the standard flow for a 503A compounder that does not offer online ordering. Confirm billing, payment terms, and invoice schedule during account setup.

  1. 01

    Arrange billing through account setup

A clinic completes the new prescriber account form at newdrugloft.com. Billing terms, payment method, and pricing are established during account setup and business development conversation — before the first Rx is placed.

  2. 02

    Confirm what the quote includes

VLS Pharmacy does not publish per-vial pricing publicly. Before submitting prescriptions, confirm in writing what the quoted rate covers: the compounded medication, cold-chain shipping, and any handling fees. These are the line items that affect landed cost.

  3. 03

    Submit the prescription

Write the Rx on a state-issued pad or prescriber-created form. Fax to 855-491-0799 with the VLS cover sheet, send via EMR (search VLS Pharmacy in New York, state set to New York), or call 1-844-857-5588. Each patient is a separate submission.

  4. 04

    VLS verifies and compounds

VLS reviews the prescription and prescriber licensure. If information is missing, VLS contacts the clinic. On acceptance, VLS compounds in Brooklyn or New Drug Loft in Manhattan, packages, and ships cold-chain.

  5. 05

Receive the invoice per account terms

VLS invoices per the payment terms established at account setup. There is no real-time per-Rx payment at submission — cost is deducted or invoiced after compounding and shipping.

Where it breaks

  • Cost is not visible at submission time

Because pricing is quote-driven and there is no per-Rx checkout screen, a clinic submitting multiple GLP-1 Rxs on a high-volume day cannot confirm per-vial landed cost before each one goes out.

  • Fee surprises on the invoice

Shipping, cold-chain handling, or other charges not written into the quote can appear on the invoice. Confirming in writing what is and is not in the rate prevents this.

  • No validation at submission

There is no pre-submission checkout step to catch a bad SIG, a prescriber licensure mismatch, or an out-of-stock item. VLS contacts the clinic if there is a problem — after the Rx has already been sent.

What to confirm before you place your first VLS prescription

Because VLS Pharmacy has no online checkout, the 'checkout questions' move to your account setup conversation. Before placing the first prescription, confirm in writing: what the quoted per-vial rate includes (shipping, cold-chain, handling), how invoices are issued and when payment is due, what happens when an Rx is rejected after submission (correction cycle but no upfront payment to refund), and what the process is for adding new medications to your ordering profile.

Fizy Health moves pricing and validation to an actual checkout screen. Each catalog and cart line shows resolved per-vial 503A cost with a disclosed facilitation fee, and cart validation checks SIGs, prescriber state licensure, and stock before you pay — so the Rx that submits is one the compounder can fill, and you know the cost before money moves.

Is a quote-driven billing arrangement fine — or do you want per-vial cost visible at checkout?

VLS Pharmacy fits if

VLS Pharmacy

You are comfortable with quote-based billing and no per-Rx checkout.

  • Your negotiated quote already covers the SKUs you order most and you trust the invoice terms.
  • You accept that per-Rx cost is not itemized at submission — billing runs through your account.
  • Your volume is low enough that fax-and-EMR per patient fits your ordering cadence.
Consider Fizy Health if

Fizy Health

You want per-vial cost and validation visible before you pay.

  • You want resolved per-vial 503A cost and a disclosed facilitation fee shown on each line before you pay.
  • You want SIGs, licensure, and stock validated before checkout so fewer submitted orders bounce back.
  • You want one checkout to cover the whole refill day across patients and compounders.
FAQ

VLS Pharmacy checkout process — common questions.

  • Checkout

Does VLS Pharmacy have an online checkout?

No. VLS Pharmacy does not have an online prescriber portal, cart, or checkout screen. Billing is arranged through account setup and business development before the first Rx, and prescriptions are submitted by fax, EMR, or phone. There is no per-Rx payment at submission time.

  • Pricing

How does VLS Pharmacy billing work?

Pricing is established through account setup as a negotiated quote — no public per-vial list. VLS invoices per your account terms after compounding and shipping. Confirm what the quote includes (shipping, handling, cold-chain) before placing your first prescription.

  • Fees

Are there fees added after a VLS Pharmacy prescription?

VLS Pharmacy does not publish a fee schedule, so any charge not itemized in your account quote can appear on the invoice. Confirm shipping, cold-chain handling, and any processing in writing before submitting your first order.

  • Validation

Does VLS Pharmacy validate the prescription before it compounds?

VLS reviews each Rx after it arrives. If a SIG, licensure, or demographic issue is found, VLS contacts the clinic for correction before compounding begins. Fizy Health validates before checkout so issues are caught before money moves and submission happens.

  • Billing

What happens to billing when VLS rejects a prescription?

Because there is no upfront payment at submission time with VLS, a rejected prescription does not generate a charge to refund — but the correction and resubmission cycle does delay the patient's order. Confirm rejection and resubmission handling during account setup.

  • Comparison

How is Fizy Health checkout different from VLS Pharmacy?

Fizy Health shows resolved per-vial cost and a disclosed facilitation fee on each line and validates SIGs, licensure, and stock before checkout, then routes a cart across multiple compounders under one payment with per-line tracking. VLS Pharmacy has no online checkout — billing is account-based and cost is quote-driven.
