Where the ordering workflow loses time
Most friction in the Empower Pharmacy workflow comes from per-prescription entry and late-stage verification holds. Because each patient requires its own LifeFile entry (or a separate fax or phone call), a high-volume refill day becomes a queue of one-off submissions. If a verification hold surfaces — a non-standard SIG, an expired license, a backorder — the affected prescription has to be corrected and resubmitted, and the clock resets. Empower does not foreground a pre-submit validation step, so these issues typically surface after the prescription is in Empower's queue.
Fizy Health restructures the same flow by moving batch submission and validation earlier. Clinics build one cart across assigned 503A partners with per-vial cost visible on each line, then run cart validation — SIGs, prescriber state licensure, and stock — before payment. A single validated checkout replaces the queue of individual submissions, and issues are resolved before money moves.
