The problem: price is revealed after commitment
WellsPx3 surfaces per-Rx pricing in order management once an order has been placed. That timing creates a gap: while a clinician is reviewing the formulary or building an order for a patient, the resolved per-vial cost is not yet visible. You see what a medication costs after submitting the order, not before adding it to the patient's plan.
For retrospective review and billing reconciliation, post-placement pricing is workable. For the cash-pay quoting moment — when a patient is in the room asking what semaglutide or tirzepatide will cost them this month — the gap is consequential. You either quote from memory, pad the estimate, or place the order to discover the price and call the patient back. None of those is the clean in-session quoting a cash-pay program requires.
