What actually drives the Scripts price you see
Inside the Scripts portal, pricing reflects the platform's aggregate network leverage: Scripts negotiates across its hand-selected pharmacy partners and advertises the result as 'unbeatable pricing' with no middleman markup. The inputs that shape any given line are the 503A (or 503B) partner pharmacy's cost for that compounded medication, the SKU's strength and vial size, and the volume delivered across the entire Scripts network. Scripts advertises that it personally visits and vets every pharmacy partner, which it uses to explain quality and pricing claims alike.
What you cannot do before the vetting step is check those numbers. Scripts directs evaluation-stage clinics to 'submit the form and we will show you how much your clinic can save each month' — pricing as a discovery during the sales process rather than a number you read during research. That means your assessment relies on the rate Scripts shows you inside the portal, and you need a sanity check to confirm it is competitive. Ask for per-vial cost in writing on your top three SKUs once you are inside, and confirm what is included versus billed separately so the number reflects true landed cost.
