What practice formularies do and do not cover
A practice formulary in LifeFile speeds up ordering for the compounds your clinic uses regularly — prescribers do not need to search through 400+ products each time. The practical question is how the formulary is maintained: do you update it yourself when protocols change, or does the change require a Clinic Liaison process? Also, the formulary shows compound options but does not show prices — per-vial pricing still requires the Clinic Liaison onboarding step.
For clinics with consistent protocols across a defined set of SKUs, a well-configured practice formulary can meaningfully reduce per-order setup time. The constraint is that it only covers Empower's own medications — a prescriber who wants to quickly reorder from a different 503A compounder cannot do it from the same formulary.
