For 503A patient-specific ordering, the Empower workflow is straightforward: prescribers submit through LifeFile (or by fax/phone/EMR), Empower's pharmacy team verifies and compounds the prescription at their Houston facility, and the medication ships to the patient. The LifeFile portal provides real-time order status so the clinic can track progress without calling. The portal covers the full Empower formulary — semaglutide, tirzepatide, testosterone, NAD+, sermorelin, peptides, and more — but only Empower's own medications, not medications from other 503A compounders.

This is the key constraint of the Empower portal model: it is a single-compounder portal. If a clinic orders from Empower for GLP-1s but from a different 503A partner for hormone therapy, two separate portals are required. There is no cross-compounder cart or unified checkout within LifeFile. For clinics with a focused Empower-only formulary, this is not a problem. For clinics ordering across multiple 503A partners, it creates the portal-hopping that a multi-partner platform resolves.
